Mergeform is a document automation app. This Privacy Policy explains how Mergeform collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
Mergeform is designed to be privacy-first. Most data stays on your device.
- Document Data: Templates, data sources, field mappings, and outputs you create are stored locally on your device.
- Files You Provide: If you import a template or data source, the file content is processed locally to generate your output.
- Purchase Information: Mergeform uses Apple’s in-app purchase system for subscriptions. We do not receive your payment details and only receive verification that a subscription is active.
- Anonymous Usage Data (Optional): We may collect anonymous, non-personal analytics to improve performance and reliability. This data cannot identify you personally.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To Run Merges: Your local data is used to generate previews and outputs.
- To Deliver Outputs You Request: If you choose to export or email a merge, the output is sent using services you explicitly choose (e.g., system share sheet or mail client).
- To Improve the App: Anonymous usage data helps us understand what features are most helpful.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your templates, data sources, and outputs are stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your merge data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data. Data is shared only when you choose to export or send a merge using third-party apps or services.
5. Your Choices
- You can delete templates, data sources, and outputs at any time.
- If you delete the app, its local data is removed from your device.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy and will post the latest version here.
