These Terms of Service govern your use of Ari (ai.assistant) and other apps published by Transfinite LLC. By downloading, accessing, or using Ari, you agree to these terms.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Ari in accordance with these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
2. App Functionality
Ari provides an on-device assistant experience for tasks such as chatting, drafting, rewriting, and summarizing user-selected documents.
- AI responses and summaries are generated on-device using Apple’s Foundation Models framework.
- You may import PDFs and images to extract and summarize text.
- You may save outputs as artifacts and library items for later reuse.
Feature availability may vary by device, OS version, language support, subscription status, or Apple service availability.
3. User Content and Responsibility
You retain ownership of the content you create, import, or store in Ari, including prompts, chats, extracted text, and saved outputs.
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have rights to use any content you import
- Reviewing AI outputs before relying on them
- Complying with applicable laws and third-party rights
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your intended use. Do not rely on Ari for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other professional advice.
4. Privacy and Data Handling
Ari is designed to be privacy-forward.
- Primary storage is on-device.
- Optional iCloud sync may store and sync content via Apple CloudKit.
- We do not use third-party AI providers for inference on your prompts/files/content.
- We do not operate our own backend servers to store your Ari content.

5. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Billing
Ari may offer paid features through in-app purchases or subscriptions handled by Apple StoreKit.
- Payment processing and billing are handled by Apple.
- Subscription management, cancellations, and refunds are managed through your Apple account settings and Apple’s policies.
- We may receive limited status information (for example active/expired) to enable or disable premium features.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Ari to:
- Violate law or regulations
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, or abusive content
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app or related Apple services
We may restrict access to features if misuse is detected.
7. Service Changes and Availability
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including AI capabilities, sync behavior, and paid features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
Ari is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Transfinite LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising out of or related to your use of Ari.
If liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Ari in the 12 months before the claim (or USD $0 if no payment was made).
10. Termination
These terms remain in effect until terminated. You may stop using Ari at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to Ari features if you violate these terms or if required for legal, security, or operational reasons.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The Effective date above indicates the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
